In Loving Memory
of
Bruce Olds Smith

In tears I saw you sinking, ana watch you fade away. My heart was
almost broken, I wanted you to stay. But when I saw you sleeping so
peaceful, free from pain, how could I wish you hack with me to suffer
that again. It broke my heart to lose you, out you did not go alone;
For a part of me went with you the day God took you home. We do not
know the pain you bore; we did not see you cry; we only know you went
away and did not say good-bye. She went away without farewell;
She said good-bye to none. Her willing hands to toil no more, her work
on earth is done. Keep her, Jesus, in thy keeping, till we reach the other
Shore. Then, Master, let us see her, know and love her as before.
