Road To Salvation

Are you ready for the catching away of the Church? Because the appointed time is near. There are some people who dont believe that, but theyre wrong. Jesus is coming back. So I ask you, "Are you ready?"

If youre not ready, then you need to make some changes. First, you need to get born again by making Jesus the Lord of your life. Then you need to set your attentions on the things of God, and not the world. Look at what Jesus told us in Luke 14.

A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind....and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper (Luke 14: 16-24).

Why didnt those who were invited to the lords supper go when they were called? They had become too involved in the business of daily worldly life, and were not ready.

It just about supper time for the church. Jesus is preparing a Marriage supper for the lamb, and its almost complete, so get ready. Consecrate yourself to God and keep yourself full of the Word and the Holy Spirit so that when you hear the blast of the trumpets, youll jump to the call.

Jesus taught us about being ready in Matthew 25.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (Matthew 25:1-13)

The main point is that you are the one that has to be ready. The pastor cant do it for you. Your husband or wife cant do it for you. You have to do it. God has given us Preachers, Pastors, Prophets, evangelists, Apostles, and Teachers to help us live by faith; and he also gave you the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide you. So theres no excuse, but you are the one who has to do it.

If you are ready to come into the family of God and become a joint heir with Jesus, pray this prayer with me out loud.

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. You word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Lord, Im calling on you. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. According to Romans 10:9-10. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead.

I am now reborn. I am now a child of the almighty God. I am now saved. Father, you also said that, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" Father, Im also asking you to fill me with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, rise up on the inside of me as I praise God. I fully expect to speak with other tongues as You give me the utterance.

Now begin to praise god for saving you and filling you with the Holy Spirit. Start to speak out those syllables you receive. He will give you the words, but You are the one who has to speak it out. God will not force you to speak, so yield to it and praise and worship your heavenly Father.

Congratulations, you are not alone anymore. I would like to welcome you into the family of God, my new brother and sister in the Lord.

[ Author Unknown -- from 'Colorado Comments' (TheBible@USA.com) ]

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job.

His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment and frustration.

Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

"Lord - - - You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don't know how. It is not fair Lord. I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray that you teach me to do this one thing I cannot do - - - Teach me To Forgive."

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them. He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.

Have you ever told a lie, he asked?

The man answered - - - yes Lord.

Have you ever been given to much change and kept it?

The man answered yes Lord. And the man sobbed more and more.

Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours, Jesus asked?

And the man answered yes Lord.

Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain?

The man, crying now, answered yes Lord.

As Jesus asked many more times, "Have you ever"? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer yes Lord.

Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.

Jesus said, I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you.

It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is.

Read the first line below slowly and let it sink in. This is simple, and important. Read on ... This first line is deep.

IF GOD BRINGS YOU TO IT - - - HE WILL BRING YOU THROUGH IT.

Lord I love You and I need You, come into my heart, today. For without You I can do nothing.
The man or woman who cannot make a decision is lacking in character; the man who cannot make a decision will be uncertain of conduct; the man who cannot make a decision and stand by it will be the plaything of the winds of temptation and the waves of passion.

It is said that once he had a certain measure that he believed ought to be put through. He called the cabinet together and explained it in all detail; then, addressing the members, said, "All who are in favor of adopting this plan will say 'aye.'" Immediately he himself said, "Aye." The rest were silent. "Those who oppose this plan will say 'no.'" Every member of the cabinet shouted, "No!"

SENIOR CITIZEN DAY - JUNE 25,2005

Outreach Ministry -- SENIOR CITIZEN DAY

Senior Citizen Day

June 25, 2005

11AM - 4PM

We, the members of the Wayne Chapel Church Family, are dedicated and committed to reach out to all of our Senior Citizens through our outreach ministry. We are now in our fifth year in which we provide a day of fun, food, gifts, and informative information to our Seniors through our outdoor, under the tent, celebration with assitance from the Lenior County on aging and material from the local American Red Cross and other invited guests.

We were led through the inspiration of the Lord to have this event. There are many seniors who do not have an outlet of outing all year. Many seniors have been abandoned by their love ones and they spend most of their time to themselves, with the exception of maybe homehealth service for a few hours a day.

We all need and want to feel love. We all want to do something relaxing from time to time with others of our own age. A great deal of emphasis most of the time is put on young people and very little on the elderly. This is one of the many reasons we have this day.

We are able to provide food, games, arts, crafts, informative information and assist our seniors with the help of various organizations and stores who support the cause.

Periodically throughout the day, we will have drawings for prizes. We will conclude our day's event with Bingo, which seems to be a favorite among of seniors as prizes are awarded to each winner. We have been averaging from 80 - 100 each year and this year the number seems to be increasing.

This event will take place on June 25, 2005 at our church on the corner of Rouse and Dobb Farm Road in Kinston. You may contact us for further information.

We solicit your prayers and support on and for this occasion.
